Are my assets and information in Covet publicly available?
What we own tells much of the story of our lives. Given that fact, no one wants the whole world to know everything about they things they possess. This article answers the question about whether others can see the information users input into the Covet site.
No. Unlike some states’ probate processes (which can be subject to public record), no personal information about you, your family, your beneficiaries or your allocations is available to anyone other than those you designate as beneficiaries.
At Covet, we take protecting your personal information and data very seriously and constantly monitor and uphold the highest security standards for personal and financial data. We use financial industry-level standard encryption by default. Covet uses the default AWS managed key option (SSE-S3), Amazon S3 uses one of the strongest block ciphers—256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256) to encrypt each object uploaded to the bucket. Verification of your email or phone number is required for every log in and Two Factor Authentication is available and recommended. ¹
Access to images and documents are only visible by the logged in user using AWS 2FA and folder user access protection. Covet does not store any user or passwords for your banks and instead store a Plaid token to access your bank accounts²
