Can digital files be gifted to multiple beneficiaries?
Suppose you want to make sure a particular digital file is distributed to more than one person after you die? This article provides details on how to do that.
Yes. You can allocate a digital file to more than one beneficiary, but keep in mind, digital files cannot be split into portions. For example: A PDF document cannot be divided 50%/50% and be split into two half portions to be given one half to each beneficiary. For this reason, the Covet site only allows the option to "gift" a digital file to a beneficiary. If you switch the "Gift this File" to the highlighted (on) position, that beneficiary will receive a complete (100%) copy of that file upon execution of your estate planning directives.
