How do I enter a physical asset?

There are three ways to enter physical assets (sometimes called tangible or personal property) into Covet. The first two methods will leverage AI to search for matching items and  a value range and return examples from which you can pick the best match to your item, thus auto-populating the item title, description and value fields in Covet. 

We begin with the easiest first...

Photo Asset Capture using your phone's camera (phone only):

1. Log in to your Covet account on your phone using your phone's Internet browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.)
2. From your Vault, click on "+ Add asset" (Alternatively you can navigate to Assets from the menu icon in the upper lefthand corner)
3. On the next screen, click on "+ Add Asset"
4. Click on "Take Photo"
5. Using the phone, take a photo of the item you want to add to your Covet Vault
6. Covet will tell you how many matches it found, show summary descriptions and values for matches found. Select the one most like yours.
7. Edit the asset details as you see fit
8. Select whether this asset should be distributed using your default allocation or by a specific allocation and set the specific allocation if applicable.
9. Click "Save"

Upload Photo of Asset (phone or desktop):

1. Log in to your Covet account
2. From your Vault, click on "+ Add asset" (Alternatively you can navigate to Assets from the menu icon in the upper lefthand corner)
3. On the next screen, click on "+ Add Asset"
4. Click on "Upload Photo"
5. Navigate the photo's location on your device, select it and click "Upload"
6. Covet will tell you how many matches it found, show summary descriptions and values for matches found. Select the one most like yours.
7. Edit the asset details as you see fit
8. Select whether this asset should be distributed using your default allocation or by a specific allocation and set the specific allocation if applicable.
9. Click "Save"

This feature is helpful when you have an existing photo of your item. If you prefer to work on your desktop or laptop computer, you can always take photos of all the assets you want to include in your Covet vault using your phone and then send them to your computer to upload there.

3. On the next screen, click on "+ Add Asset"
4. Click on "Enter Details"
5. Select the appropriate Type of Asset and continue filling in the descriptive fields
6. Select whether this asset should be distributed using your default allocation or by a specific allocation and set the specific allocation if applicable.
7. Click "Save"
