I moved to a new state - how do I update my documents?

We at Covet know that "life happens." Sometimes that includes moving from one state to another. When you move, Covet can easily move with you.

If you have an existing Covet account and have previously printed and signed, witnessed, and notarized your estate plan documents, updating after a move to a new state can be done in a few easy steps:

  1. Login your to account
  2. Update your residential address by following the instructions in "How do I update my Personal Information."
  3. Once you have saved your changes Covet automatically updates your estate planning documents. But you'll need to do two more steps...
  4. View and Print your new estate planning documents following the instructions in "How do I view and print my documents?" After printing the updated documents, sign them with witnesses, have the witnesses sign and have them notarized (optional but recommended)
  5. Destroy old hard copies that you have previously printed and signed and keep the new ones in a safe place and let your executor(s) know where to find them.
